A Makeover with Miss Mustard Seed Yellow

A raised panel from an old door gets a make-over with Miss Mustard Seed Yellow.

The panel was cleaned and then...

the first coat of paint applied.

Watching paint dry!

A light sanding between coats reveals the raised panel.

An experiment to make the paint chip--the corners have hemp oil applied to them and the wax puck was used in several other places.

Then a second coat of paint.

A final sanding revealed the chippyness we were looking for.

The panel was finished with Miss Mustard Seed's Antiquing Wax.

It's a lovely combination--a panel from a vintage door, Miss Mustard Seed's Yellow milk paint and Antiquing Wax.

Our panel is ready to be re-purposed into a sign, or to add a touch of vintage to any spot in the house.

So goes the story of a re-purposed scrap of an old door.
